Downtown Edmonton had 16 price reductions this week, and every one of them was a condo — which makes sense given how little single-family inventory exists downtown, but it does mean this week's story is entirely about the condo market in the core, not the broader housing market.

Unlike some neighbourhoods where a handful of agents or one builder account for most of the activity, these 16 cuts came from 16 different listing agents — a broad, independent correction rather than one brokerage's strategy.

The listings span from $89,900 up to $550,000, and days on market varies wildly — from 11 days to 281 days — so this isn't just the stale inventory catching up. Fresh listings are adjusting right alongside units that have been sitting for months.
